Express Hauling is committed to making expresshaulingsantabarbara.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome feedback that helps us do better.
Our Goal
We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
What We Have Done So Far
- Semantic HTML landmarks, headings, and clear page titles so screen readers can navigate the site easily
- Keyboard-friendly navigation with visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields
- Alt text on real photos, and aria-labels on icon-only buttons such as the call button, social icons, and menu toggle
- Color contrast targeted at WCAG AA for body text and interactive elements
- A "Skip to content" link on every page so keyboard users can jump past the navigation
- Forms with proper labels and clear error messages
- Reduced-motion support, so animations are calmed for users whose system preferences ask for it
- Responsive layout that works at 200 percent zoom on common screen sizes
Known Limitations
Parts of the site rely on third parties, and their accessibility is outside our direct control:
- The free estimate form is provided by GoHighLevel (LeadConnector).
- Map embeds are provided by Google Maps.
- Some social icons link out to third-party platforms (BBB, Yelp, Google Business Profile).
If you run into trouble with any of these, please contact us and we will help you get the information or service another way.
